Where do creative people come from? On Beginnings, two fledgling comedians talk origins with professional creators and others just starting out, and hopefully answer their parents’ question, “What are you doing?”
Jamie Lee is a writer and stand-up based in New York City. Maybe you’ve seen her on the last season of Last Comic Standing? Or maybe on “Kid Farm” the College Humor webseries she co-created? Or when she co-hosted VH1’s Critics Choice Awards? Or the MTV show Ridiculousness that she wrote for? No matter where you’ve seen her or her writing, she’s hilarious and great! Jamie stopped by the Wrestling Team apartment last week and we talked about her ZZ Top photographer parents, overcoming your hatred of other performers and how dating other comedians affects one’s creativity. Plus we debut a new segment, “Making a Breakthrough”!
